Meet Dr. Cook

Dr. Cook attended Purdue University for undergrad study in physics and pharmacy. He received an early admission to Indiana University School of Dentisty at the Med Center in Indianapolis and graduated with honors in 1978. He subsequently spent four years in the United States Air Force as a dental officer. After completing his service in 1982, he began a two-year post-graduate residency program, earning a Certificate of Specialization in Periodontics, as well as a Master of Science in Dentistry degree in June, 1984. He opened his periodontal and implant surgery practice in Lafayette in September, 1984 at its current location and has been pleased to serve the periodontal and implant-related needs of patients in the Greater Lafayette area for over thirty years.

Dr. Cook has been married to his wife, Nancy, "forever." They have two grown sons, Tye and Clay, who graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School and Indiana University. Tye and wife, Cyrena, live in Fishers with their sons, Henry and James, and daughter, Kate. Their younger son, Clay, and wife, Hannah, live in Chicago.

Steve and Nancy both enjoy travel with family and friends when the opportunities present. Dr. Cook is an avid golfer and plays as much as possible. Nancy is a registered nurse with her Masters in Social Work. She serves in various counseling positions in Lafayette. Please be ready to share your travelogues and golf stories with him!

Dr. Cook takes great pride in the quality of the services he provides his patients. He routinely completes forty to fifty hours a year of continuing education programs and classes, insuring that his patients continue to receive the most comprehensive and advanced care available to them.
