In certain situations, tooth extraction is necessary. We may extract if a tooth is damaged to the point where it cannot restored or if the tooth is putting the health of your other teeth in jeopardy - for instance, if you have a serious infection or the tooth is causing crowding, which can make home care difficult. We may also perform extractions if you are preparing for orthodontics or dentures.
We take every precaution to make sure that your extraction is comfortable. Dr. Cook will also take the time to review your after-care instructions. Following these instructions will help you heal promptly and reduce your risk of complications.
